INValencia, together with its magnificent sea beaches, modern infrastructure and friendly residents, makes it one of the brightest pearls of tourist Spain.
Valencia is located in the southeast of the country and includes three provinces: Castellón, with tourist resort towns along the coast and an impressive rugged mountain landscape; Valencia, which is home to the administrative center of the region of the same name, famous for its amazing lagoon, centuries-old gastronomic traditions and its cheerful holidays; Alicante (Alicante) is a bizarrely rugged coastline, numerous tourist centers, the “Moors and Christians” festival, reminiscent of the times of the Arab conquests and the Reconquista.
Valencia has been inhabited since ancient times by Phoenicians, Greeks, Iberians and Romans. Traces of the Arab invasion are still evident in the region's agriculture and traditional handicrafts, in particular in the irrigation system and in the cultivation of rice or the famous citrus fruits.
