LOro Parque (Parrot Park, Loro Parque) is one of the largest zoos in Europe and a must visit! Parrot Park was founded and opened in 1972.
In Loro Parque you can see:
- The world's largest collection of parrots (about 3000 individuals).
- Penguinarium, which houses the world's largest collection of penguins (about 200 individuals of different species).
- Incredible show of dolphins, killer whales and fur seals.
- Various interesting and exotic animals and birds: tigers, chimpanzees, jaguars, sloths, anteaters, red pandas, crocodiles, turtles, flamingos and cranes.
- A huge decent aquarium, home to a variety of tropical fish, sharks, stingrays, various corals and other stunningly beautiful marine plants. There is also a tunnel running under the aquarium, through which you will feel as if you are in a sea kingdom, where majestic stingrays and sharks will swim above your head.
- Aquarium with jellyfish.
- Botanical garden with more than 1000 species of orchids.
Also on the territory of Loro Parque there is a children's playground "Kinderlandia", places where you can have a delicious lunch: a pizzeria, a cafe, a grill and a steak.
We strongly recommend visiting the Vista Teide cafe, where you can enjoy a fabulous view of the Teide volcano, which is the symbol of the island!
Park operating hours are from 8:30 to 18:45.
